A curious creative with an expansive niche for love, adventure, nature, art and good vibes.

Yeah, I think I did pretty good job of describing myself. If you caught me off guard though, I’d most likely describe myself as a softly spoken round peg in a square hole. Who says the word groovy like it's going out of fashion (except I spell it 'groovie' because I think it looks better) and can quote the film Harry Potter like it's the absolute bee's knees.

I'm your face behind the chair, a professionally qualified Hairdresser of 16+ years who simply adores individually tailoring unique hairstyles for humans who would like further to express their personalities.

In 2015 Erin Shanley Hair was established. Being a hair stylist in this position has given me the versatility to do what I love each and every day. It kinda doesn't seem like 'work'. Having the honour to have you choose to sit in my chair both in salon and to work behind the scenes of some of the most luxurious weddings to date. Ah, I cant even! Im very humbled. So far, my art has been described as contemporary, long lasting and effortlessly chic and has been published and featured in both National and International magazines on paper and digital.

 

Before opening my business Ive been very fortunate to have experienced some of the most unreal opportunities like traveling abroad to help others hone their crafts, and working behind the scenes of some of the most prestige fashion shows. I've even personally written beauty and lifestyle columns for three internationally recognised media companies.

I'm always trying to push the boundaries of my own creativity. In 2025 I became a 'Finalist' for my first ever entry into a global Hairdressing competition and took home second place in the greater sydney wedding industry awards.
