Yeah, I think I did pretty good job of describing myself. If you caught me off guard though, I’d most likely describe myself as a softly spoken round peg in a square hole. Who says the word groovy like it's going out of fashion (except I spell it 'groovie' because I think it looks better) and can quote the movie Harry Potter like it's the absolute bee's knees.

I'm Erin, your face behind your chair. - A professionally qualified Hairdresser and Bridal Hair Stylist who simply adores individually tailoring unique hairstyles for humans who love to further express their personalities.​ 
 

Before opening my own biz, I have been very fortunate to have worked in some of Sydney's most elite salons. Whilst there, I was given some of the most unreal opportunities like traveling abroad to help others hone their craft, and working behind the scenes of some of the most prestige fashion runways, thus bringing with me a wealth of knowledge. 

 

When I'm not out in the wild servicing some of the most luxurious weddings and events, or tending to my guests in salon or even collaborating with some of Australia's best Industry professionals, I thrive on pushing the boundaries of my own creativity.

Just for fun, Ive jumped into a few e-com, editorial and branding shoots, dappled in makeup, photography, content creation and wigs. Ive even written a few lifestyle column's for 3 international media companies. Whilst the brand and collective of Erin Shanley Hair is mostly known for the work within the Wedding and Events Industry, in late 2025, I took a chance on my refined skills and entered my first ever entry, into a Global Hairdressing Competition...So stoked to share with you that I became a Finalist in a colour category for Best Brunette Specialist - And Wow! What a flame it has lit!!

Erin Shanley Hair was established in 2015. With a career that expands across 18 glorious years and counting. It is fair to say, that I have met some of the world's most down to earth humans.
