A curious creative with an expansive niche for love, adventure, nature, art and good vibes.

Yeah, I think I did pretty good job of describing myself. If you caught me off guard though, I’d most likely describe myself as a softly spoken round peg in a square hole. Who says the word groovy like it's going out of fashion (except I spell it 'groovie' because I think it looks better) and can quote the movies Harry Potter and Mean Girls like they are the absolute bee's knees.

I'm your face behind the chair, a professionally qualified Hairdresser who simply adores individually tailoring unique hairstyles for humans who would like further to express their personalities.

 

Before opening up my own biz, I've been very fortunate to have worked in some of Sydney's most elite salons. Opportunities including traveling abroad to help others and myself hone our crafts, meeting high profile celebrities and Industry masters and working behind the scenes of some of the most prestige fashion shows. Not only have I come away with a wealth of knowledge but these experiences have grounded the pavement for my love in colour, cutting and styling.

 

Styling became my ultimate release for freedom and creativity. It became a part of my art where I just thrived, turning a natural ability into a loved connection that not only complimented my work in the salon, but enhanced and refined the wearer.  I cannot tell you which of these specialised skills I love most. The cut amplifies the colour which in turn complements the style. 

In 2015, I did something wild. I became a Freelance and Independent Hairdresser, before I knew it Erin Shanley Hair was established. Being a hair stylist in this position has given me the versatility to do what I love each and every day. It kind of doesn't even seem like work. Throughout the decade, I've met some of the most down-to-earth humans to ever walk this earth, collaborated with some of Australia's talented Industry Professionals and has also had the pleasure and honour to work behind the scenes of some of the most luxurious weddings to date.
 

So far, my art has been described as contemporary, romantic, long lasting and effortlessly chic. My work has been published and featured in national and international magazines, both on paper and digital. Only recently, having become a Finalist for my work in colour and design. After competing in my first ever entry into a global Hairdressing competition.

 

When I'm not out on location servicing luxury events and destination weddings, you can find me in a beautiful bright and earthy hair salon in the heart of the Sutherland Shire. It is here where I have a huge love for providing my guests with the latest in holistic trends and sustainable classics.
